Players Course A Classic Florida Style Course

Relaxed. Strategic. Family Friendly. Inspiring. Classic. Playful.

The Players Course, designed by Robert Von Hagge with PGA TOUR player, Bruce Devlin, as consultant, is an eclectic design including Grand Oaks tree lines, classic doglegs and carry over water. Deemed by most as more challenging than the Stadium Course, it presents many holes that even the toughest competitor might find difficult. Each course offers up family-friendly tees with 12 tee options allowing for tremendous playability, as well as the option to walk either course any time.

Players Course

  • Hole 1

    Par 4

The opening hole sets you up with a birdie opportunity with a good tee shot. A water canal runs down the right side of the hole, while a small lake and bunker guard the left side. A driver is not needed for the longer hitters, but an accurate drive can leave you a wedge shot into this shallow green.

  • Hole 2

    Par 4

A generous fairway with a small bunker on the left will catch errand shots. A short iron approach is left after a well-placed tee shot to an undulating green with bunkers guarding the front and rear.

  • Hole 3

    Par 4

This challenging par four starts off with a difficult tee shot. A large lake hugs the right side of the hole, while a deep bunker protects the left side of the landing zone. Find the fairway and you are left with a short iron over water into a very receptive green.

  • Hole 4

    Par 4

A short par four which leaves a good birdie opportunity. A 3-wood off the tee can leave you a short iron into a well bunkered green.

  • Hole 5

    Par 3

On this hole, a shot to the middle of the green is desired. Slopes on each side and the rear will make a difficult chip shot if you miss the green.

  • Hole 6

    Par 4

This hole requires a tee shot placed on the left hand side of the fairway for the best approach to the green. Don’t let the yardage fool you; Bunkers in the fairway and near the green can make this hole difficult.

  • Hole 7

    Par 5

A dogleg par 5 that requires three good shots to reach the green. Your long hitters can reach in two, but a perfect drive is needed to “thread the needle”. Avoid the fairway bunker on the left and water on the right with your tee shot and you will have a good line to hit your second shot over the water. Clearing the lake is a must to leave yourself a short iron into this green.

  • Hole 8

    Par 4

A long bunker guards the left side of the fairway, while trees and water guard the right, making for a difficult tee shot. Get the ball on the fairway and you’re left with a mid-iron into an elevated green. Making a birdie here is very special.

  • Hole 9

    Par 3

A challenging par 3 with a kidney shaped green. A waste bunker runs the length of the hole on the left, while a false front can leave a delicate pitch shot for a missed green.

  • Hole 10

    Par 5

This short par five is a great opportunity to start the back nine with a birdie. A well placed tee shot down the left side provides you the opportunity to split two trees and go for the green in two. Otherwise, send your layup shot down the right side to leave a short wedge shot into the green.

  • Hole 11

    Par 3

One of our signature holes on the Players Course. The 11th hole is a beautiful par three over water to a two tiered green. This hole can require players to hit anything from a 4-iron to a 7-iron. Once on the green, the slopes and tiers make for challenging putting.

  • Hole 12

    Par 4

Straight away, short par 4 with water well left. A good tee shot in the fairway makes this a birdie possibility.

  • Hole 13

    Par 4

“No guts, no glory” The short par four is all setup by your tee shot. You can make your approach shot as short as you like by tempting the water along the right side of the fairway. The smart play is to hit a 3-wood on the left of the fairway and take the yardage you get. Don’t be greedy.

  • Hole 14

    Par 5

A three shot par five can set you up for a birdie opportunity. The tee shot is fairly simple, but finding the fairway is a must. The second shot needs to be far enough down the fairway to leave yourself an open look at the green. Trees line both sides of this dogleg, with a large lake coming into play on your second and subsequent shots. The green slopes drastically from back to front, which allows for receptive iron shots over the water.

  • Hole 15

    Par 4

Straight away par four which is relatively short. However, a small target green guarded by bunkers can make the approach shot challenging.

  • Hole 16

    Par 5

This long par five has a generous fairway off the tee. Put your tee shot in the fairway to leave an easy second shot to the landing area. The best layups will put you in the 100-75 yard range from the hole. Any closer and this brings into play two fairway bunkers. Trees line the fairway and narrow the fairway as you approach the green.

  • Hole 17

    Par 3

A good par three which requires a long iron or fairway wood. The greenside bunker on the right can leave a difficult shot, but it is better than fining the lake on the left. Par is a good score as you approach the final hole.

  • Hole 18

    Par 4

A beautiful finishing par four. A dogleg right with water down the whole right side, can make for a challenging tee shot. The closer you are on the right, the shorter approach you have to an elevated green which is guarded.
