Part of the PGA TOUR, the TPC Network was established to provide host venues for TOUR events with services and amenities that met the highest standards of professional golf. Across the country, TPC golf courses let golfers experience the PGA TOUR life. Walking the same fairways as the professionals, teeing off from the very spots where history has been made, and enjoying every detail exactly as the pros do.
Frequented by golf greats Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, and Chi Chi Ridriquez, TPC Prestancia has hosted eight (8) Chrysler Cup Tournaments and five (5) American Express Invitational Championships. Part of the Legendary Tournament Players Club Network, TPC Prestancia was created in 1985 with attention to aesthetics and balance to host the PGA Senior Tour.
The Championship Stadium Course was inspired by TPC Sawgrass, allowing for gallery viewing along the hills lining the expansive fairways. Designed by Ron Garl and TOUR Player Mike Souchak the Stadium Course plays 6,941 yards from the tips rewarding shot making more than length. Formerly, The Country Club of Sarasota, the TPC Prestancia Players Course was designed by the legendary golf architect, Robert Von Hagge and was the first multi-million-dollar Private Club on the West Coast of Florida. The Club was acquired by the PGA TOUR to be home to the Senior Champions TOUR.
As TPC Prestancia opened it became the most prestigious club on the West Coast of Florida and along its courses fourteen exclusive communities developed within the gates of Prestancia. This became one of the most successful master planned green space communities known as Palmer Ranch. Palmer Ranch consists of 39 gated communities, all within a 10 minute drive of the club. The area is centrally located and contains distinguished sports, pools, health, and fitness facilities along with the most desired school district for all levels of education. Many of the communities offer resort style amenity centers with TPC Prestancia the focal point for social, dining and golf.
